Movement across the four phases

You do not have to periodize every workout. Listening still helps.

A flexible map

Some people prefer gentler movement during heavier days, then choose more intensity later in the follicular phase. Others feel fine throughout. That is personal preference, not a clinical rule — and evidence that you must train by cycle phase is limited. There is no obligation to periodize workouts. Notice what your body repeats, and keep what helps.

Red flags

Dizziness, fainting, pain that sharpens with impact, or bleeding that soaks through protection are reasons to stop and seek care, not to “push through.”
