What ovulation can feel like

Some people feel nothing. Others notice one-sided twinges, stretchier mucus, or a small energy lift.

Possible signs

Mittelschmerz is a short, one-sided twinge around ovulation. Cervical mucus may become clearer and more stretchy. Libido or energy can rise. None of these signs is required, and none proves ovulation on its own.

What is not a sign

Spotting can happen around ovulation for some people, but unexpected bleeding should still be mentioned to a clinician if it is new, heavy, or persistent. Severe pain, especially with dizziness or fever, is not “just ovulation.”
